## Identity and location

Clearnote Church is a Reformed, evangelical Christian church founded in 2010. It meets at 9101 W. 10th St., Indianapolis, IN 46234. The church is on the west side of Indianapolis and serves people from Indianapolis, West Indianapolis, Chapel Hill, Clermont, Speedway, Avon, Brownsburg, Central Indiana.

Tagline: “Confessing Christ. Advancing His Kingdom.”

Mission: Clearnote Church actively shepherds its people into deeper relationships with Christ and one another for His glory and our good.

## Doctrine

Clearnote stands in the historic Reformed Protestant tradition. Its published summary says:

1. All things were created by God and exist for His glory.
2. There is only one true God, creator of heaven and earth, who eternally exists in three distinct persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
3. Jesus is the eternal Son of God, who was sent by the Father to redeem fallen man.
4. The Bible is true, sufficient, and authoritative for faith and obedience.
5. Every man, except for Jesus, by his sinful nature and actions is guilty of death and eternal punishment.
6. The gospel is the good news that God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to save sinners. Through His life, death, and resurrection, everyone who repents and trusts in Christ is forgiven, reconciled to God, and receives eternal life.

- Eric Beerbower — Assistant Pastor. Eric graduated with a Master of Divinity from the Reformed Evangelical Pastors College in Toledo, OH in 2020. In 2022, he moved to Indianapolis to begin working at Clearnote Church and was ordained as our assistant pastor in the summer of 2023. Eric and his wife, Ruthanne, have been married for twelve years and have eight children.

## Ministries

- Calling men to be men.: Every other week · August–May. God calls men to take responsibility as husbands, fathers, leaders, and protectors. Our mission is to encourage and equip men in this work by helping them honor Christ and love others by taking responsibility for their homes, church, and community. The men of Clearnote meet every other Tuesday from August through May for teaching, fellowship, and prayer. See our calendar for upcoming dates.
- Growing as women of God.: Every other week · August–May. Our women’s ministry equips and encourages women to follow Christ in all walks of life, through fellowship, teaching, Bible study, and opportunities to serve the Body of Christ. Various Bible study groups meet every other week from August through May for study, fellowship, and prayer. We’re currently working inductively through a book of the Bible. If you’re interested in learning more, we welcome you to contact us.
- Raising generations for Christ.: Sundays · 9:30 AM · Wednesdays · 6:30–8:00 PM. We come alongside parents in teaching their children to know, love, and obey Jesus Christ. Children’s Sunday School classes (ages 4 through 6th grade) meet at 9:30 AM, and a nursery is available for infants through age 3. Throughout the school year, our midweek AWANA and Youth programs meet every Wednesday from 6:30–8:00 PM for worship, learning, Scripture memorization, games, and fellowship: Sparks (K–2) ignites the curiosity of early-elementary kids to learn about the people and events of the Bible, building a foundation of wisdom for knowing Christ, Truth & Training (grades 3–6) teaches kids the truth of God’s Word and the power of the Gospel, and Youth Group (grades 7–12) delves deep into what the Bible says about growing in Christ.
- The church becomes a family.: In homes across the west side. Small groups are the single best way to get connected at Clearnote. They are environments where deep personal friendships grow, and where the church body truly becomes a family. We study, pray, share, eat, laugh, cry, and grow as we work out more of what it means to follow after Jesus Christ. Groups meet in homes throughout the Indianapolis area.
- Chapel Glen Early Learning Academy.: Mon–Fri · 6:30 AM–6:00 PM. Chapel Glen Early Learning Academy serves children ages 6 weeks through 12 years with Christ-centered instruction in an atmosphere of fun and loving care — a fun, safe, caring environment for families and staff alike. ## Weekly gatherings

- Worship Service (Everyone): Sundays · 10:30 AM. Our worship service is rooted in Scripture and in the historic Christian faith — reverent, joyful, and participatory. Services last about an hour and a half.
- Sunday School (All ages): Sundays · 9:30 AM. Sunday School classes for children of all ages and adults, before the worship service. Come early and enjoy free coffee and donuts.
- Kids’ Midweek Programs (Kids & teens): Wednesdays · 6:30–8:00 PM. AWANA Sparks (K–2), AWANA Truth & Training (grades 3–6), and Youth Group (grades 7–12) — worship, learning, games, and fellowship through the school year.
- Men’s Group (Men): Every other Tuesday · August–May
Wednesday and Thursday AM Prayer groups. Teaching and fellowship for men — encouraging and equipping men to honor Christ and love others by taking responsibility for their homes, church, and community.
- Women’s Bible Study (Women): Every other week · August–May. Two groups meet every other week for study, fellowship, and prayer — currently working inductively through the book of Romans.
- Small Groups (Everyone): Throughout the week. Small groups meet in homes throughout the Indianapolis area — the single best way to get connected at Clearnote.

## First-visit questions

### Why are you called Clearnote?

Our name comes from 1 Corinthians 14:8 which says, “For if the war horn produces an unclear sound, who will prepare for battle?” In a day full of confusion we strive to speak God’s truth clearly in every area of life.

### What is the service like?

Our services are filled with singing, scripture, and the preaching of God’s word. We encourage people to be engaged in the worship service.

### How long is Sunday school and the worship service?

Sunday school is 45 minutes, and the worship service is about an hour and a half.

### What should I wear?

You will see people dressed in different ways: some men in suits and collared shirts, some women in dresses, and many people dressed more casually. You do not need to dress a certain way to visit. We’re more interested in seeing you than what you’re wearing.

### What about my children?

We welcome children in worship! Will they get rambunctious and noisy? Maybe — but that’s OK! We’re glad you and your kids are here. But, if you feel you need to take them out, we do have a staffed nursery (for 6 weeks through 2 year olds) open during our worship and Sunday school time. There is also a nursing mothers room where you can take your infant and still participate in worship.
